emerge of dev-util/intltool-0.40.5 fails in the config phase:

configure: error: XML::Parser perl module is requied for intltool

Seem like a missing dependency in the build.

emerge intltool

I re-emerge XML-Parser and this went away. Since it was already emerged, but at an earlier version, perhaps this was just some anomaly.

Try 'emerge -1 dev-perl/XML-Parser'
