Description Chuck Brewer 2003-09-10 22:00:43 UTC
it seems most of the dev-sources ebuild are providing a virtual/alsa, which
totally rocks...however there are so many different devs submitting them that
about every third or fourth ebuild it gets left out and the system tries to pull
in alsa-driver again..could we please all provide the virtual across the board?
(atleast in the dev-branch kernels)

Can you please tell us which kernels are affected?
Comment 2 Chuck Brewer 2003-09-11 10:31:46 UTC
Currently I show:

development-sources-2.5.70.ebuild
development-sources-2.5.71.ebuild
development-sources-2.5.72.ebuild
development-sources-2.5.73.ebuild
development-sources-2.5.74.ebuild
development-sources-2.5.75.ebuild
development-sources-2.6.0_beta1.ebuild
development-sources-2.6.0_beta2.ebuild
development-sources-2.6.0_beta3.ebuild
development-sources-2.6.0_beta4.ebuild
development-sources-2.6.0_beta5.ebuild

To be fair, the provide didn't get added until the 2.6 ebuilds came out, and I'm surprised the 2.5's are still in the tree, also none of the mm-sources provide it, but I dont use those, so I can't really say how that would work.

Fixed in CVS. Thanks.
