KEYWORDS="-sparc x86" I dont see anything we should do there. It is stable. It's indeed already stable. Nothing to be done. # emerge -u glide-v3 Calculating dependencies... done! !!! All ebuilds that could satisfy "media-libs/glide-v3" have been masked. !!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request: - media-libs/glide-v3-20060203 (masked by: missing keyword) Please provide your emerge --info like the bug entry page asked and please also tell us why you would want glide. I _assume_ you want it on amd64 (which you should have said at _some_ point in your bug report...) And since _none_ of us have glide hardware, you'll have to at least confirm that it works on your system before we even consider adding ~amd64 to KEYWORDS. Yes I'm on amd64. Ok I don't have glide hardware myself, but I filed this bug because glide is a dependancy of quakeforge, which I'm trying to install. But as I'm not using the 3dfx USE flag, it won't probably be needed, am I right ? No idea, please get in touch with quakeforge's maintainers. TBH, I don't even know what's in glide-v3, but I seriously doubt it works with non-3dfx hardware, I would be willing to bet a pint that it probably doesn't even build correctly on 64 bit systems. Thanks RDEPEND="3dfx? ( media-libs/glide-v3 ) renaming to video_cards_voodoo should be more sane. Asking maintainers on irc so i get ack for the change. Fixed, the 3dfx useflag was hidden so you wont be eager to compile with it :] |
