virsh, to connect to remote host, require netcat that supports -U option. libvirt ebuild don't have such netcat in dependency, and even don't show appropriate warning. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge libvirt 2. /etc/init.d/libvirtd start 3. virsh -c qemu+ssh:///localhost//system Actual Results: nc: invalid option -- 'U' nc -h for help error: server closed connection error: failed to connect to the hypervisor Expected Results: Welcome to virsh, the virtualization interactive terminal. Type: 'help' for help with commands 'quit' to quit Check bug 237277, there is more info, and it's not about new package (as it may look like), but in making working virsh.
