The current ebuild for darwin-miscutils has:

MISC_VER=23
SHELL_VER=118
DEV_VER=49

As of the release of Snow Leopard, these could be updated to:

MISC_VER=27
SHELL_VER=149
DEV_VER=52.1

I don't know if this will affect the rest of the ebuild, however.
