I'm a newbie in gentoo, but I think you have already pyhton-2.3.5-r2 aktive. Please give me the output of #eselect python list I think this will be marked as invalid, as it looks like a case of not upgrading for a long time and, as such, it's a support question for the forums, not a bug. You had unsupported python-updater not installed by app-admin/python-updater package. I always used portage. So if I had a python-updater on my system, it must have been installed with an emerge. So I'm deducing that something went wrong within portage on my "relatively old" Gentoo system. However, this bug has been rightfully closed because python-updater now works on my system. Thanks |
