With no font-misc-misc package installed on the system I get the following warning when running xterm:

Warning: Cannot convert string "nil2" to type FontStruct

This dependency is already added for unstable 7.4 version so please add it for stable 7.2 too.

It's a warning... just ignore it. And if you want the font, just emerge it.
