Try with the following: # USE="-gtk2" emerge mplayer Tried as you said and the same error occurs. Can your reproduce this problem on your system out of curiosity? Update: This only seems to happen on quicktime files. Mpeg files and avi's don't seem to have the problem. Update: Problem does not occur in mplayer-1.0_pre1-r1. seems to be a permissions problem, works fine for me as root, not as user. Anyway, the mplayer gtk/gtk2 handling is dysfunctional as it is in the ebuild. Is this still a problem with the latest version of mplayer for anyone? As stated earlier, it looks to be fixed in mplayer-1.0_pre1-r1. Re-Open the bug if you still find this an issue. |
