1. Where did you get 8.15.228.169? That's not ANYWHERE in our DNS or mirror lists. If you got that as the result of a DNS lookup, I suspect that your ISP is seriously mucking with your DNS results. 2. SYNC="rsync://rsync.eu.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" that's not valid. it's rsync.europe.gentoo.org that you want. We have two-letter codes for countries, and longer names for continents (otherwise they conflict with some countries). EU = not assigned != Europe NA = Namibia != North America SA = Saudi Arabia != South Africa AS = American Samoa != Asia AU = Australia (vs. Australasia/Oceania which is the continent) AN = Netherlands Antilles != Antarctica AF = Afghanistan != Africa Seems you're correct. My ISP redirects invalid requests to one of their advertising servers. I didn't realize that the eu was .europe. This bug is invalid then. Sorry for the mixup and thanks for correcting me. :D |
