You note a lot of programs, such as... ? I've seen at least one qmail building script out there that uses .maildir. It will be a major compatability issue to change over to Maildir from .maildir as well. If you don't like .maildir, you know where defaultdelivery is, and how it works, and that it is in CONFIG_PROTECT, so you can go and change it yourself. I didn't come up with the .maildir name, I've just kept it going since I picked up qmail. Ok, this reason is much better than the former, and this one I can live with :-). |
