Forgot to mention, re-installing konquerer against media-libs/jpeg-7 produces the same result. No problems here. No real information provided, closing... # emerge @preserved-rebuild # emerge gentoolkit # revdep-rebuild The @preserved-rebuild solution only works with portage 2.2, which is currently masked, so it's not a universal solution. Some apps are cured with revdep-rebuild, indeed, while others aren't. For example, media-tv/xbmc would fail with the following message: /usr/include/jpeglib.h:1125:55: error: jpegint.h: No such file or directory (with jpeg-6 it complies just fine, as it provides jpegint.h) Probably a better solution would be to mask >=media-libs/jpeg-7 for now?
