Cups configuration is no longer okay. needs some help with

See link for upstream "won't fix". SO, must be fixed in DISTRO configs.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install cups
2. try to print from remote
3. should work, always did work, but NOW fails with Print file was not accepted (Unsupported format 'application/octet-stream').


Actual Results:  
Print file was not accepted (Unsupported format 'application/octet-stream').


Expected Results:  
PRINT

This is just a minor fix, but isn't something USERS should ever have to deal with. Printing should, by now, "just work".

Please re-read the upstream explanation, this is done intentional and we won't change upstream behavior. Be sure your CUPS setup/versions on both ends are sane, remote printing should generally work just fine.
