This bug is filed because this package is depending on
www-client/mozilla-firefox but not on www-client/mozilla-firefox-bin. You
probably can RDEPEND on || ( www-client/mozilla-firefox
www-client/mozilla-firefox-bin ).

Concerned versions:
- 1.2.23-r1
- 1.4.15

If there is a valid reason about this (or if fixed in newer versions), please,
mark the bug as RESOLVED but do not yell at me :)

This is not possible.  firefox-bin doesn't provide the same libraries/headers, so liferea cannot build against it; and, on 64-bit, firefox-bin is 32bit, and cannot be used at all.  You will need firefox.
