Description the.lady.phoenix 2009-08-17 10:43:46 UTC
when app-editors/nano is compiled with the following flags it becomes unusable, printing several lines of code/error info over the text of the file being read, however it doesn't actually change the file if you are just using the arrow keys.

My USE flags that cause this error are ncurses, nls, spell, unicode, debug

My USE flags that correct this error are ncurses, nls, spell, unicode,
I added "app-editors/nano -debug" to my packages.use file to accomplish this while giving debuging support to the rest of the progams this flag doesn't break.

I have recreated this 2 times after the first, however, I can't remember if I was on x86 the first time or not (as it could have been but not 100% sure), also I can not recall what flags the previous 2 times had other then "debug" however the removal of "debug" and functionality returning tells me it has to be an issue with that flag, doing something somewhere.

Well, it prints *drumroll* debug info.
So it's working as advertised, not a bug.

but how is that resloved when you have debug you can't use it?
