Description Daniel Mettler 2009-08-13 15:23:10 UTC
I've just noticed that current releases of www-apps/wordpress lack the PHP closing tags ("?>") before the EOF of the following two files:

wp-config-sample.php
wp-config.php

Bug exists at least in WP 2.8.3 and 2.8.4 (probably in the whole 2.8.x series).
WP 2.7.1 was fine.

This affects WP in Gentoo only (probably a patching issue). WP per se seems to be fine.

I doubt this is a bug. Wordpress works even without the end tag.

Anyway, I unpacked the tarball manually. wp-config-sample.php is missing the end tag, we didn't remove it. Please report upstream.
