it is due to change of sf mirrors' mechanism
without fixing of portage's mirror://sourceforge this can't be fixed 
(only by not using mirror://sourceforge/)

on a side note commited ebuild contains "dodoc -r" which gives me QA warning and is not installing docs

dodoc: -r does not exist

pretty odd that it worked for me.  *shrug*  took out the extra slash.
