Description Ewan A. A. Gunn 2009-08-11 21:37:59 UTC
When faced with the First Run dialogue from yakuake, the user is presented with option of changing the global shortcut to dropdown the terminal. Grave (backtick, or `) is not detected as a suitable keypress. Configuration of the shortcut through System Settings allows this keypress to be used, however.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install yakuake-2.9.6
2. When launching for the first time, press the button for changing the shortcut
3. Press backtick (grave, `)

Actual Results:
The keypress is not detected, and the shortcut not updated.

Expected Results:
The keypress to be detected, and the shortcut to be updated.

Okey I spoke with the yakuake maintainer and he said that this is kdelibs bug.
Aparently the keyboard config is kdelibs widget.

So please open bug in kde bugzilla. [ http://bugs.kde.org ]

After you do so just add the link to the bug into the url field of the bug and close it as upstream.

When upstream fixes the issue you should reopen this bug so we can apply their patch to the releases so you can benefit from the fix asap.

Cheers
