builg log
ekiga-3.2.4, mplayer-1.0_rc2_p20090731, xf86-video-vesa-2.2.1 also failed with similar error (../../lib/gui/xvwindow.h:50:33: error: X11/extensions/XShm.h: No such file or directory, etc) Both missing files belong to the x11-proto/xextproto package. You might try to re-emerge this package and see if that fixes your problems. Ah ha! I had x11-proto/xextproto-7.0.99.3 from the x11 overlay. Downgrading to 7.0.4 and downgrading x11-libs/libXext from 1.0.5 to 1.0.4 fixed the issue. Nonetheless, why didn't the packages work with the newer versions? Created attachment 200479 [details]

I used xextproto 7.1.0 and libXext 1.0.99.4
Those packages are under a package.mask in the overlay and should _not_ be unmasked for production use. Thanks |
