I am using Firefox 3.0.11 on 64-bit Gentoo with icedtea6 1.5 (from java-overlay).  If I go to any webpage with a java applet, Firefox immediately closes.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to a page with a java applet (such as http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml)

Actual Results:  
Firefox closes

Expected Results:  
Java applet should run

The icedtea6 plugin works with Epiphany 2.24.3.

In Firefox 3.5.6, http://www.javatester.org/version.html just shows a grey box.  I am using IcedTea6 1.5.

Well, it seems IcedTea6 1.6.2-r1 works fine with Firefox 3.5.6
