Hi,

the HDF 1.8 branch is there for quite some time now I guess, please bump.

I'd also suggest we slot this one against the (still actively maintained) 1.6 branch.

Marking this as a duplicate, lets keep the bump requests for the two versions on one bug as likely the maintainers can do both with one fell swoop. :) I'll make a note of your request on the other bug.
