Hi there,

I'm currently preparing an ebuild for TikiWiki 1.7.1.1; it's going to be
one of the three webapps that will pilot our new webapp installation ideas.

Best regards,
Stu

tikiwiki-1.7.2.ebuild

this ebuild should be put into

/usr/local/portage/net-www/tikiwiki

digest.

This is the whole Tikiwiki app, as availabe on SF downloads...

On CVS, efforts are being made to separate Smarty from Tikiwiki. So, I suggest
we create a separate Tiki ebuild, that uses external (Gentoo-based) Smarty.
Comment 6 Lorinc Czegledi 2003-10-04 04:40:34 UTC
Tiki ebuild goals:

Primary objective for now is the achievement of the use of external Smarty
libs - (Gentoo ebuild based).

Secondary objective is the externalisation of media files included in TikiWiki
into TikiMediaReleaseGentooLinux? (e.g.: avatar images)

Tertienary objective is the use of TikiGamesGentooLinux? for the easy install
of TikiGames?.

The final - and most community-intriguing - objective is the externalisation
of TikiStyles? into separate TikiStyleReleaseGentooLinux? ebuilds, so that
themes and templates are easily installed and extended...

Hi Lorinc,

We've already discussed this in email ;-) I'm adding the following for the
benefit of anyone else who looks at this bug.

Hi,

The web-apps herd is currently working on delivering some important changes
to the way that web-based applications are installed and managed on Gentoo
Linux. Until this work is complete, we're not commiting ebuilds for new
web-based packages.

I've marked this bug as 'LATER'. As soon as we are able to, we will come
back to this bug and help you convert your ebuild to our new approach.

Many thanks for your patience,
Stu

Just wondering how work on the new arrangement for web-based apps is going and if we can expect an official release of this ebuild any time soon.
Comment 9 Matija "hook" Å uklje 2003-12-19 05:49:44 UTC
ok, fair enough ...but WHEN is that LATER ...the Gentoo-2004 release? ...i seriously hope sooner!

it'd be great to have a Wiki (especially TikiWiki!) ebuild ...is the ebuild in itself stable enough?
