I mentioned some problems about jaxb-api in the given URL. Some have been fixed but one I didn't really mention was that the dependencies aren't slotted. Version 1 has jaxb in RDEPEND and JAVA_VIRTUAL_PROVIDES. This should probably be jaxb-1. Version 2 has jaxb-2 in JAVA_VIRTUAL_PROVIDES but this isn't mirrored in RDEPEND. Both have jaxme, which isn't a slotted package, but does it really satisfy both versions? All this is likely to cause builds to fail and people won't understand why. I would fix this myself but I don't know anything about the jaxb stuff and I don't want to make any uninformed changes.

With dev-java/jaxb in the process of being removed, I believe the whole thing can go now James (virtuals and what have you), can't it?

This package was only present in java-overlay. An alternative dom4j ebuild was using it but I've applied that fix to the tree now and removed both. Closing.
