>Try something silly for me: Restart your X and try again. >It worked for me as weird & lame it sounds Doesn't work for me :( open("/usr/lib64/mozilla-firefox/libplc4.so.7", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory) This doesn't look right - it should be libplc4.so.8. Tried revdep-rebuild yet ? >Tried revdep-rebuild yet ?
No, I have downgraded to 3.0.11 because 3.5.1 requires dev-libs/nspr-4.8, and my pidgin fails to connect with this version of nspr.
Why people cannot read portage-messages is beyond my understanding... net-libs/xulrunner-1.9.1-r1 clearly states: If firefox fails to start with "failed to load xpcom", run revdep-rebuild If that does not fix the problem, rebuild dev-libs/nss Try dev-util/lafilefixer if you get build failures related to .la files sorry =/ *** Bug 278706 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
