Please attach /var/log/portage/rox-base:rox-2.9:20090720-002250.log Please also include the version of rox-base/zeroinstall-injector you have installed. Created attachment 200316 [details] rox-base/rox-2.10 build error log This is an emerge failure on rox-base/rox-2.10. The emerge failure is very similar to one in the first post. I got this while upgrading world. I noticed a new slotted python-2.6 got installed and now eselect python gives 2.6 as the chosen python. Also, some information you requested: ~> eix zeroinstall-injector [I] rox-base/zeroinstall-injector Available versions: 0.33 0.40 Installed versions: 0.40(05:09:16 AM 06/28/2009) Homepage: http://0install.net/ Description: Zeroinstall Injector allows regular users to install software themselves my emerge --info: ~> emerge --info Portage 2.2_rc36 (default/linux/amd64/2008.0/desktop, gcc-4.3.2, glibc-2.9_p20081201-r2, 2.6.30-tuxonice-r4 x86_64) ================================================================= System uname: Linux-2.6.30-tuxonice-r4-x86_64-Intel-R-_Core-TM-2_Duo_CPU_T7100_@_1.80GHz-with-gentoo-2.0.1 Timestamp of tree: Wed, 05 Aug 2009 21:30:01 +0000 app-shells/bash: 3.2_p39 dev-lang/python: 2.5.4-r3, 2.6.2-r1 dev-util/cmake: 2.6.4 sys-apps/baselayout: 2.0.1 sys-apps/openrc: 0.4.3-r3 sys-apps/sandbox: 1.6-r2 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.63-r1 sys-devel/automake: 1.5, 1.7.9-r1, 1.9.6-r2, 1.10.2 sys-devel/binutils: 2.18-r3 sys-devel/gcc-config: 1.4.1 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.26 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.28-r1 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="amd64" CBUILD="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-march=native -O2 -pipe" CHOST="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/3.5/env /usr/kde/3.5/share/config /usr/kde/3.5/shutdown /usr/share/config /usr/share/xsessions" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/ca-certificates.conf /etc/env.d /etc/fonts/fonts.conf /etc/gconf /etc/gentoo-release /etc/revdep-rebuild /etc/sandbox.d /etc/splash /etc/terminfo /etc/texmf/language.dat.d /etc/texmf/language.def.d /etc/texmf/updmap.d /etc/texmf/web2c /etc/udev/rules.d" CXXFLAGS="-march=native -O2 -pipe" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" EMERGE_DEFAULT_OPTS="--with-bdeps=y" FEATURES="assume-digests distlocks fixpackages parallel-fetch preserve-libs protect-owned sandbox sfperms strict unmerge-logs unmerge-orphans userfetch" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://mirror.umoss.org/gentoo http://gentoo.oregonstate.edu ftp://gentoo.mirrors.pair.com http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/gentoo" LANG="en_US.UTF-8" LC_ALL="en_US.UTF-8" LDFLAGS="-Wl,-O1 -Wl,--as-needed" LINGUAS="en en_US" MAKEOPTS="-j4" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_CONFIGROOT="/" PORTAGE_RSYNC_OPTS="--recursive --links --safe-links --perms --times --compress --force --whole-file --delete --stats --timeout=180 --exclude=/distfiles --exclude=/local --exclude=/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/portage/local/layman/enlightenment /usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="X a52 aac accessibility acl acpi alsa amd64 bash-completion berkdb branding bzip2 cairo cdda cdr cli cracklib crypt cups curl curlwrappers dbus djvu dri dts dvd dvdr dvdread encode exif fam fbcon ffmpeg flac fontconfig fuse gdbm gif gnutls gphoto2 gpm gtk hal iconv ieee1394 isdnlog jpeg kde lame lcms ldap mad mmap mmx mmx2 mng mp3 mp4 mpeg mudflap multilib musepack musicbrainz ncurses nls nptl nptlonly ogg opengl openmp oss pam pch pcmcia pcre pdf perl plasma png ppds pppd python qt3support qt4 quicktime readline reflection savedconfig sdl session smp speex spell spl sqlite srt sse sse2 ssl ssse3 startup-notification svg sysfs taglib tcpd theora threads tiff truetype unicode usb vim-syntax vorbis wmf x264 xattr xcb xcf xcomposite xft xine xinerama xml xorg xosd xpm xulrunner xv xvid xvmc yv12 zeroconf zlib zsh-completion" ALSA_CARDS="hda-intel" ALSA_PCM_PLUGINS="adpcm alaw asym copy dmix dshare dsnoop empty extplug file hooks iec958 ioplug ladspa lfloat linear meter mmap_emul mulaw multi null plug rate route share shm softvol" APACHE2_MODULES="actions alias auth_basic authn_alias authn_anon authn_dbm authn_default authn_file authz_dbm authz_default authz_groupfile authz_host authz_owner authz_user autoindex cache dav dav_fs dav_lock deflate dir disk_cache env expires ext_filter file_cache filter headers include info log_config logio mem_cache mime mime_magic negotiation rewrite setenvif speling status unique_id userdir usertrack vhost_alias" CAMERAS="*" ELIBC="glibc" INPUT_DEVICES="keyboard mouse evdev synaptics" KERNEL="linux" LCD_DEVICES="bayrad cfontz cfontz633 glk hd44780 lb216 lcdm001 mtxorb ncurses text" LINGUAS="en en_US" USERLAND="GNU" VIDEO_CARDS="nvidia nv vesa" Unset: CPPFLAGS, CTARGET, FFLAGS, INSTALL_MASK, PORTAGE_COMPRESS, PORTAGE_COMPRESS_FLAGS, PORTAGE_RSYNC_EXTRA_OPTS In case you need this output: ~> eselect python list Available python interpreters: [1] python2.5 [2] python2.6 * My suspicion was right. It took me a while to complete the emerge --world and then python-updater. rox-2.10 built correctly after rox-base/zeroinstall-injector was updated by python-updater. I think this bug shows up only when python-updater is not run after a new slotted python is installed. (In reply to comment #4) > I think this bug shows up only when python-updater is not run after a new > slotted python is installed. Ah yes, that makes a lot of sense! |
