Running emerge --sync --quiet outputs two blank lines. This leads to unnecessary cron emails.



Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run command:
# emerge --sync --quiet


#

2. See blank lines.

This might have something to do with /etc/portage/bin/post_sync. Please make sure that's disabled and try again:

chmod a-x /etc/portage/bin/post_sync

That file does not exist:

# ls -al /etc/portage/bin/post_sync
ls: cannot access /etc/portage/bin/post_sync: No such file or directory

emerge --sync --quiet now confusingly prints:

Can't reproduce. Please reopen if you still get this.
