my emerge --info
oops sorry for including emerge --info twice. did emerge --sync again (5:35 PM), problem still exists Have you ruled out a hardware failure, filesystem corruption, out of space? Are you able to unpack those files by hand? Maybe some tool is broken by -O3. In this case http://tinderbox.dev.gentoo.org/default-linux/x86/ has binary packages for you. Yes, I can unpack it by hand. I did emerge --sync one more time, but it still does not work. What you mean about -03? //Im quite new to gentoo ;) And which packages? BTW. this site has, i.e., old version of pinentry. And it's surely not end of disk space - sth ~6GB free. Resolved it. Dunno what bug was that, but I untared tar-1.22 (from /usr/portage/distfiles), executed "make install" and voila! nothing fixed here (In reply to comment #8) > you mean about -03? //Im quite new to gentoo ;) The compiler flag you specified with CFLAGS/CXXFLAGS in make.conf. -O3 is known to break things, use -O2 instead. Some unrelated comments: a) ~x86 isn't something I would recommend for beginners. b) Looking at the amount of use flags you have enabled, the desktop profile might be worth a look. (eselect profile list) It specifies a lot use flags, useful for desktop users, but no real need to change to it now. btw: Welcome to gentoo :) |
