Just recompile your koffice for kde3.
This was fixed with eclass update.

Wouldn't it make sense to revbump the ebuilds, in order to bring this change of installed package to users who don't read this report here? And to have the koffice:2 ebuilds block all koffice:3.5 ebuilds before the revbump, so that package dependencies will avoid this error even before compilation starts.
