I modified the ebuild for Gaim 0.57 for Gaim 0.58. Attached is my ebuild script 
and also the MD5 file to go with the ebuild. Please note this is just an 
updated gaim-0.57 ebuild, and it worked for me on an AMD Tbird 1.4Ghz, 
optimized for i686 specifically.
