Bug 276970 – media-plugins/gkrellmpc-0.1_beta9-r1 breaks

When I updated from media-plugins/gkrellmpc-0.1_beta9 to media-plugins/gkrellmpc-0.1_beta9-r1, it stopped working normally and began reporting "No MPD".  I could get the controls to work, but it continued to display "No MPD" instead of song info.  Downgrading to 0.1_beta9 fixed the issue.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install media-plugins/gkrellmpc-0.1_beta9-r1
2. [Have a working install of mpd and] enable it in gkrellm

Actual Results:  
"No MPD"

Expected Results:  
Song name/artist, etc.

Before I go and revert the change made in -r1, please try with mpd-0.15 (It's going stable in ~2 weeks)

Updated to mpd-0.15.  Problem remains the same.

"fixed" by adding USE threads and a warning in pkg_postinst (both versions work here), sync in a hour
