the main reason is that it's a nice utility to have without having to install all of ffmpeg, but if you want to incorporate it I'm ok with it. treecleaners, please remove media-video/qt-faststart, it's replaced by: + 10 Aug 2010; Samuli Suominen <ssuominen@gentoo.org> ffmpeg-9999.ebuild: + USE="qt-faststart" to replace separate media-video/qt-faststart package. and will appear in next snapshot. I 'd propose to mask it for removal when the next ffmpeg snapshot hits the tree. Since there is no ffmpeg on ~testing with that use flag, I don't think it is a good idea to remove this package just yet I don't think it would make any good as it is anyway. Can you backport this use-flag to ffmpeg-0.6.ebuild please? gone |
