Is this bug going to get some love? It has been three months since the release and getting close to that much time since the bug report.
Comment 2 Mike Limansky 2009-09-19 20:15:28 UTC
Hi,

Could anybody please add the new version to the tree? There many bugs for current version, let us check how the new one works.

regards,
Mike.

is it even going to be assigned to devs ?

complete reworked network configuration is a tough thing to change, but quarter of a year, come on.

maybe we should make example ebuild or something ? to show that it really worth to upgrade already.

Added openrc-0.5.1 to the tree. It now has a default-enabled use-flag "oldnet"
(name open to discussion) to enable the old net.* init-scripts.

Works great on amd64 virtual machine (server, USE="-oldnet", dhcpcd in boot runlevel).
What about adding a line to install wpa_supplicant scripts ?
