*** Bug 274697 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** My kde does not work after update kdelibs. This version force -kdeprefix and all other packages of kde have +kdeprefix. Yes, kdeprefix was causing some problems, but looking at the tracker bug 239356 it seems lots of them have been fixed. If you have not had any problems with it, you could unmask it since your current kde seems to have been built with it on echo "-kdeprefix" >> /etc/portage/profile/use.mask lopan: sorry, but you'll need to unmerge kde4 and merge it back so all packages have the same kdeprefix setting http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/desktop/kde/kde4-guide.xml "Warning: If you want to move between kdeprefix and -kdeprefix (or vice-versa), it is recommended that you unmerge all KDE packages and then emerge it with the modified flag. If this is not done, KDE installations can have trouble finding certain libraries/plugins." kdeprefix needs to be set (or unset) consistently within whole KDE release - and packages are set up to enforce such settings - this is not a bug but intended behaviour. Please either disable or enable 'kdeprefix' in make.conf and then emerge -vaDuN world |
