The upcoming CUDA 2.3 version will include the debugger in the toolkit, so perhaps we should wait until it is officially released. Another potential solution would be to include GDB in the current nvidia-cuda-toolkit and make it selectable via a USE flag. I imagine this will have to be done for 2.3 anyway. I'm sorry, closed the bug by mistake. I've just committed a new revision of the nvidia-cuda-toolkit package, which installs the CUDA gdb if the 'debugger' USE flag is enabled. |
