for everybody who cannot wait to sunday/monday

updated xfce-extra directory
the same as xfce-base.tar.bz. in this directory are SOME files updated to rc3
not all, because some stuff is independent from the base developement like
xfce-session f.e.
Great job guy.. Works really fine, and XFCE 4 RC3 is very cool much more polished...;-) I downloaded the new ebuilds and set out to update. The emerge process fails on a missing shared library or rather a link: /bin/sh ../libtool --mode=link gcc -march=pentium3 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -funroll-loops -mfpmath=sse -mmmx -msse -o xffm xffm-add_file.o xffm-add_folder.o xffm-add_node_contents.o xffm-aux.o xffm-glade_gui.o xffm-callbacks.o xffm-mcs-manager.o xffm-treestore.o xffm-treeview.o xffm-main.o xffm-widgets.o ../libs/libxffm.la ../libs/libxffm_actions.la ../libs/libxffm_calls.la ../libs/libxffm_tubo.la ../libs/libxffm_fstab.la ../libs/libxffm_apps.la ../libs/libxffm_book.la ../libs/libxffm_fgr.la ../smb/libxffmsmb.la libgladesupport.la -Wl,-R/usr/lib -ldbh -lm -lglib-2.0 -pthread -lgthread-2.0 -lglib-2.0 -Wl,--export-dynamic -lgtk-x11-2.0 -lgdk-x11-2.0 -latk-1.0 -lgdk_pixbuf-2.0 -lm -lpangoxft-1.0 -lpangox-1.0 -lpango-1.0 -lgobject-2.0 -lgmodule-2.0 -ldl -lglib-2.0 -L/usr/X11R6/lib -lxfce4mcs-client -lxfce4util -lglib-2.0 -lxfce4util -lglib-2.0 -Wl,--export-dynamic -L/usr/X11R6/lib -lxfcegui4 -lgtk-x11-2.0 -lxfce4util -lgdk-x11-2.0 -latk-1.0 -lgdk_pixbuf-2.0 -lm -lpangoxft-1.0 -lpangox-1.0 -lpango-1.0 -lgobject-2.0 -lgmodule-2.0 -ldl -lglib-2.0 -lxml2 -lpthread -lz -lm -lrt gcc -march=pentium3 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -funroll-loops -mfpmath=sse -mmmx -msse -o .libs/xffm xffm-add_file.o xffm-add_folder.o xffm-add_node_contents.o xffm-aux.o xffm-glade_gui.o xffm-callbacks.o xffm-mcs-manager.o xffm-treestore.o xffm-treeview.o xffm-main.o xffm-widgets.o -Wl,-R/usr/lib -pthread -Wl,--export-dynamic -Wl,--export-dynamic ../libs/.libs/libxffm.so ../libs/.libs/libxffm_actions.so ../libs/.libs/libxffm_calls.so ../libs/.libs/libxffm_tubo.so ../libs/.libs/libxffm_fstab.so ../libs/.libs/libxffm_apps.so ../libs/.libs/libxffm_book.so ../libs/.libs/libxffm_fgr.so ../smb/.libs/libxffmsmb.so ./.libs/libgladesupport.a /usr/lib/libdbh.so /usr/lib/libgthread-2.0.so -L/usr/X11R6/lib /usr/lib/libxfce4mcs-client.so /usr/lib/libxfcegui4.so -lSM -lICE -lX11 /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so /usr/lib/libxfce4util.so /usr/lib/libgdk-x11-2.0.so /usr/lib/libatk-1.0.so /usr/lib/libgdk_pixbuf-2.0.so /usr/lib/libpangoxft-1.0.so /usr/lib/libpangox-1.0.so /usr/lib/libpango-1.0.so /usr/lib/libgobject-2.0.so /usr/lib/libgmodule-2.0.so -ldl /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so /usr/lib/libxml2.so -lpthread -lz -lm -lrt gcc: /usr/lib/libdbh.so: No such file or directory make[2]: *** [xffm] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/xffm-3.99.3/work/xffm-3.99.3/src' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/xffm-3.99.3/work/xffm-3.99.3' make: *** [all] Error 2 The library in question, /usr/lib/libdbh.so is not installed correctly as this link is missing. Hi.. See how libdbh are present in my /usr/lib/: bash-2.05b# ls -l libdbh* lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 19 Aug 7 11:32 libdbh-1.0.so.1 -> libdbh-1.0.so.1.0.0 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 35352 Aug 7 11:32 libdbh-1.0.so.1.0.0 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 32636 Aug 7 11:32 libdbh.a -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 782 Aug 7 11:32 libdbh.la lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 19 Aug 7 11:32 libdbh.so -> libdbh-1.0.so.1.0.0 you have to recompile dbh please. you need it for xffm. i recognized this fault but for now plz reemerge it manually. anyone want to commit it to portage? OK I have committed to portage, but the default behavior I changed, emergeing xfce4 will emerge the base and all of the extras, while emergeing xfce4-base will just install the core components just like the kde builds. Thank you, Brad... great..great...:-) |
