please try with gdm-2.20.10-r1 and pambase-20090515 (it works just fine here, it even lists open terminals) I have already tried such variant, but without updating pambase. The result was the same. I do not think that if to update pambase, something to change. The result of registration with sessreg differs from built-in in gdm: each user has unique id lines. In a case with gdm it always same. The code does not differ at 2.20.10 from 2.20.9! I have made a patch and I think today to me it will be possible to check up it. Created attachment 194752 [details]
GDM custom config
Forget about that.
So you need to have those Utmp lines to make it work ? There is something really wrong in your setup I believe. thanks for the utmp lines, it did it for me. Created attachment 198512 [details, diff]
UTMP fix
With that fix I have working gdm.
Could you report this upstream (at bugs.gnome.org) to see what they think about this patch ? Could you guys paste the output of ls -l /var/run/utmp ? |
