Description Siarhei Siamashka 2009-06-02 06:40:50 UTC
This is a clone of bug 241910 which I can't reopen.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge pygtk with the current ppc64 stable gcc 4.3.2
2. run python
3. type 'import gtk'

Actual Results:
segfault

Expected Results:
no segfault

Applications which depend on pygtk don't work too (ex. dev-util/meld)

It can be workarounded by reducing optimization level to "-O1" or adding "-fno-schedule-insns" to CFLAGS in make.conf.

I'll reopen the original report. Feel free to come to #gentoo-bugs on irc to request a bug to be reopened the next time.
