Could you please try going back to your previous kernel, to determine whether it could be a problem with the kernel. Also, could you please try switching to the console, shutting down gnome and shutdown from the console to determine whether it's a Gnome/GUI issue or if it happens in all circumstances... Does manually deactivationg the swap work? swapoff -a Please reopen this bug report once you have discovered and added more information. I have similar freezes when I have swap on a network block device (sys-block/nbd). I think that the freeze results from the network going down before the swap is deactivated. |
