I see, baselayout 1 from stable. Is there any chance you could try this using baselayout 2 and openrc ? It's fairly stable. Because it won't be long that set is in stable, and there is no point fixing / working around bugs that have already been fixed. Migrating to baselayout-2 fixed this (=sys-apps/baselayout-2.0.1). This could be closed in my opinion. Thanks! RC_PARALLEL_STARTUP seems to be getting some timings off in parallel startup mode. Get failed to start message upon boot up. Happend every time. Able to start manually everytime after boot (/etc/init.d/mpd start). Setting RC_PARALLEL_STARTUP="no" fixes the issue. Parallel startup was working before for me for some time until a few weeks ago. Not sure what changed that broke it. For now I'm switching back to non-parallel startup to fix this. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.
