The same here exactly. But now even 3.2.1 fails to be built with the same error. % emerge --info Portage 2.2_rc33 (default/linux/amd64/2008.0/desktop, gcc-4.3.3, glibc-2.10.1-r0, 2.6.29-gentoo-r3 x86_64) ================================================================= System uname: Linux-2.6.29-gentoo-r3-x86_64-AMD_Athlon-tm-_X2_Dual-Core_QL-60-with-gentoo-2.0.0 Timestamp of tree: Sun, 24 May 2009 10:15:01 +0000 ccache version 2.4 [enabled] app-shells/bash: 4.0_p24 dev-lang/python: 2.6.2 dev-python/pycrypto: 2.0.1-r8 dev-util/ccache: 2.4-r8 dev-util/cmake: 2.6.4 sys-apps/baselayout: 2.0.0 sys-apps/openrc: 0.4.3-r2 sys-apps/sandbox: 1.9 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.63-r1 sys-devel/automake: 1.5, 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.6-r2, 1.10.2 sys-devel/binutils: 2.19.1-r1 sys-devel/gcc-config: 1.4.1 sys-devel/libtool: 2.2.6a virtual/os-headers: 2.6.29 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="amd64 ~amd64" CBUILD="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-march=native -O2 -pipe" CHOST="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/share/config" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/ca-certificates.conf /etc/env.d /etc/fonts/fonts.conf /etc/gconf /etc/gentoo-release /etc/revdep-rebuild /etc/sandbox.d /etc/splash /etc/terminfo /etc/texmf/language.dat.d /etc/texmf/language.def.d /etc/texmf/updmap.d /etc/texmf/web2c /etc/udev/rules.d" CXXFLAGS="-march=native -O2 -pipe" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="ccache distlocks fixpackages parallel-fetch preserve-libs protect-owned sandbox sfperms strict unmerge-orphans userfetch" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://mirror.yandex.ru/gentoo-distfiles/ ftp://ftp.corbina.ru/pub/Linux/gentoo ftp://trumpetti.atm.tut.fi/gentoo/ http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/gentoo/ http://distfiles.gentoo.org/distfiles/" LANG="ru_RU.UTF-8" LC_ALL="ru_RU.UTF-8" LDFLAGS="-Wl,-O1" LINGUAS="ru sv" MAKEOPTS="-j3" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_CONFIGROOT="/" PORTAGE_RSYNC_OPTS="--recursive --links --safe-links --perms --times --compress --force --whole-file --delete --stats --timeout=180 --exclude=/distfiles --exclude=/local --exclude=/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.mirror.yandex.ru/gentoo-portage/" USE="3dnow 3dnowext X a52 aac acl acpi alsa amd64 audiofile bindist bluetooth branding bzip2 cairo cdaudio cddb cdr cli cracklib crypt cups dbus directfb dri dvd dvdr dvdread eds emboss encode esd evo fam fbcon ffmpeg firefox flac fortran ftp gdbm gif glib glitz gphoto2 gpm gstreamer hal iconv id3tag imap imlib ipv6 isdnlog jabber javascript jpeg kde kipi libnotify lua lzma mad matroska midi mikmod mmx mmxext mng mp3 mpeg mudflap multilib musepack ncurses nfs nls nptl nptlonly ogg openexr opengl openmp pam pcre pdf plasma png ppds pppd python qt qt3support qt4 quicktime readline reflection sdl session speex spl sqlite sqlite3 sse sse2 sse3 ssl startup-notification svg sysfs tcpd theora threads tiff truetype unicode usb vcd vim-syntax vorbis wavpack webkit wifi x264 xcb xcomposite xine xml xorg xscreensaver xulrunner xv xvid zlib" ALSA_CARDS="ali5451 als4000 atiixp atiixp-modem bt87x ca0106 cmipci emu10k1x ens1370 ens1371 es1938 es1968 fm801 hda-intel intel8x0 intel8x0m maestro3 trident usb-audio via82xx via82xx-modem ymfpci" ALSA_PCM_PLUGINS="adpcm alaw asym copy dmix dshare dsnoop empty extplug file hooks iec958 ioplug ladspa lfloat linear meter mmap_emul mulaw multi null plug rate route share shm softvol" APACHE2_MODULES="actions alias auth_basic authn_alias authn_anon authn_dbm authn_default authn_file authz_dbm authz_default authz_groupfile authz_host authz_owner authz_user autoindex cache dav dav_fs dav_lock deflate dir disk_cache env expires ext_filter file_cache filter headers include info log_config logio mem_cache mime mime_magic negotiation rewrite setenvif speling status unique_id userdir usertrack vhost_alias" CAMERAS="canon fuji" ELIBC="glibc" INPUT_DEVICES="evdev linuxinput synaptics" KERNEL="linux" LCD_DEVICES="bayrad cfontz cfontz633 glk hd44780 lb216 lcdm001 mtxorb ncurses text" LINGUAS="ru sv" USERLAND="GNU" VIDEO_CARDS="radeonhd radeon" Unset: CPPFLAGS, CTARGET, EMERGE_DEFAULT_OPTS, FFLAGS, INSTALL_MASK, PORTAGE_COMPRESS, PORTAGE_COMPRESS_FLAGS, PORTAGE_RSYNC_EXTRA_OPTS I've found the culprit. It's the new version of asciidoc. After reverting to app-text/asciidoc-8.2.7, awesome installs fine. Strangely enough, that way doesn't work for me Well, after lots of tries it somehow merged. But 3.3_rc3 refuses to work, so I've masked it. But the issue in question needed to be resolved, I suggest. (In reply to comment #3) > Strangely enough, that way doesn't work for me Is the "does not work" related to #271098? This made it work for me. (In reply to comment #5) > Is the "does not work" related to #271098? This made it work for me. Thank you for pointing out, it could be. But I have allergy to "obsolete" and "deprecated" things, probably I'll wait for fixing this in upstream. I think awesome is too "bleeding edge" to rely on deprecated features. Thanks again, I've subscribed to #271098 to track changes. (In reply to comment #6) > (In reply to comment #5) > > Is the "does not work" related to #271098? The disabling of those deprecated features is done by a gentoo patch. Vanilla lua 5.1 supports this usage currently. I've talked to the awesome devs, and in git (and thus the next (pre-) release) they will use lua 5.1 syntax only. perhaps, asciidoc issue is same as bug #256641. close this bug. The bug is due to an error of validation of xml file. It is resolved if you have app-text/docbook-xml-dtd=4.5 installed. Maybe there should be a dependance on this ? please check #272010 |
