Bug 27086 – gtkmm fails to compile with gcc 3.2.3

When trying to emerge -u gtkmm 2.2.5, configure step completes but compile
fails.  I don't have the exact message, but it was something like file
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i586-pc-linux-gnu/3.2.2/libstdc++.la could not be found.  

Easy workaround:
1.  mkdir /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i586-pc-linux-gnu
2.  mkdir /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i586-pc-linux-gnu
3.  ln /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/libstdc++.la
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i586-pc-linux-gnu/3.2.2/libstdc++.la

then try to emerge again, and everything works fine.

1.emerge -u gtkmm
2.
3.

Actual Results:  
failed to compile.

Expected Results:  
should've compiled.

Portage 2.0.48-r5 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.2.3, glibc-2.3.2-r1)
