Gentoo dropped Xprint, see bug #264982.

Not really no, what happens in make.conf is your "problem" :)

Right, if mozilla is still using XPrint protos/libs, then they should definitely disable them. I thought I went through all packages to disable it but I may have forgotten a few.

Please open a bug assigned to the mozilla herd and add x11@gentoo.org as a CC on the bug so we can track the problem as well.

We aren't using it. Just rebuild seamonkey.

I do not know whether unused variables are being shown or not but I did rebuild seamonkey few hours ago. I still do have in about:config these 3 lines:

print.xprint.font.acceppattern = .*
print.xprint.font.force_outline_scaled_fonts = true
print.xprint.font.rejectfontpattern = [some string]

Okay, sorry i got confused.

Still, those config lines come on the default configuration, no matter if xprint is available on the system or not. So no, it doesn't use it... and i'm not going to patch out the default configuration.
