It compiles for me. Please paste the output of emerge info and possibly tar up your temporary portage directory /var/tmp/portage/sarg-1.4.1 and attach or e-mail that to me. Do this after you've attempted to emerge sarg I'm not the orginal poster, but I'm getting the same error. emerge info: Portage 2.0.49-r3 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.2.3, glibc-2.3.2-r1, 2.4.22) ================================================================= System uname: 2.4.22 i686 AMD Athlon(TM) XP 1800+ ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-mcpu=athlon-xp -O3 -pipe" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" COMPILER="gcc3" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /var/qmail/control /usr/share/config /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-mcpu=athlon-xp -O3 -pipe" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs buildpkg fixpackages sandbox ccache userpriv" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://gentoo.oregonstate.edu http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/gentoo" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/amdpackages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="" SYNC="rsync://rsync.europe.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="x86 foomaticdb mad zlib 3dnow -3dfx -aalib -acl -afs -alsa -ant apm -arts -atlas -avi berkdb -bonobo crypt cups -dga -directfb doc -dvd encode -esd -evo -fbcon -flash -gb gd gdbm -gddb -ggi -ggz gif -gnome -gphoto2 gpm -gtk -gtkhtml -guile -icc -icc-pgo imap imlib innodb -ipv6 -java jpeg -kde lcms ldap libg++ -libgda libwww maildir -matrox -mikmod mmx -motif -mozaccess -mozctl -mozilla -mozirc -mozxmlterm -mpeg mysql -nas ncurses -nls nocardbus odbc -oggvorbis -opengl -oss pam -pcmcia -pda pdflib perl -pic -plotutils png -pnp postgres python -qt -qtmt -quicktime -raidtools readline -ruby samba -sdl -slang slp snmp -socks5 -spell sse ssl -static svga -tcltk tcpd -tetex tiff -truetype -trusted -voodoo3 -X -xface -xml xml2 -xmms -xv -zeo" I'll attach a tar of the /var/tmp/portage/sarg-1.4.1 directory. /var/tmp/portage/sarg-1.4.1 directory, tarred no compression
I was able to compile the tar file and I was able to stage a brand new stage3 gentoo installation and emerge sarg (and squid as a dependency). Reassigning to bugwranglers. is this still an issue ? Since I could never duplicate the problem, I am closing this ticket. Unfortunately I am seeing this problem: >>> md5 src_uri ;-) sarg-1.4.1.tar.gz >>> md5 src_uri ;-) sarg-1.4.1-index.sort.patch >>> Unpacking source... >>> Unpacking sarg-1.4.1.tar.gz to /var/tmp/portage/sarg-1.4.1-r1/work >>> Unpacking sarg-1.4.1-index.sort.patch to /var/tmp/portage/sarg-1.4.1-r1/work unpack sarg-1.4.1-index.sort.patch: file format not recognized. The emerge info on the machine that it did compile on: Portage 2.0.49-r20 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.2.3, glibc-2.3.2-r3, 2.6.1) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.1 i686 Pentium III (Katmai) Gentoo Base System version 1.4.3.10 distcc 2.11.1 i686-pc-linux-gnu (protocols 1 and 2) (default port 3632) [enabled] ccache version 2.3 [enabled] ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-mcpu=pentium3 -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -mmmx -msse -mfpmath=sse,387" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" COMPILER="gcc3" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/share/config /var/bind /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-mcpu=pentium3 -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -mmmx -msse -mfpmath=sse,387" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs buildpkg ccache distcc sandbox" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://gentoo.noved.org/ http://gentoo.noved.org/" MAKEOPTS="-j3" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="" SYNC="rsync://rsync.namerica.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="X apache2 apm arts avi berkdb crypt encode foomaticdb gdbm gif gnome gpm gtk gtk2 imlib jpeg kde kerberos ldap libg++ libwww mad mikmod mmx motif mpeg mysql ncurses oggvorbis pam pdflib perl png python qt quicktime readline sdl slang snmp spell ssl tcpd tiff truetype x86 xml2 xv zlib" I also tried 1.4.1 on the machine that 1.4.1-r1 failed to compile on, and it failed with the same error. I removed userpriv from FEATURES in /etc/make.conf on the machine which 1.4.1-r1 was not compiling, and it got past the error. I put userpriv back in, and the error occured again. So userpriv definately has something to do with it. Without userpriv, the compile finishes. |
