YMMV, but it works for me using 2.6.30-rc3 and nvidia-drivers-185.13-r1 on a x86. Please attach unified diffs (diff -u) when you did changes to an ebuild. That would be much more handy for our devs. Created attachment 189562 [details, diff]
Diff from 185.13 to 185.13-r1
Attached the diff in the ebuild. I had provided the new ebuild as a single complete file for users who don't use the berkano overlay.
185.19 is out. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 265238 *** I've also made it clear time and time again that the only NVIDIA driver releases that Gentoo will work with are the official releases and subsequently updated FTP releases, which are now called pre-releases. The last bug for some beta drivers I got NVIDIA involved in and as a result Aaron made a clarification for us on the status/quality of NVIDIA driver releases. Long story short, you may create bugs for beta drivers to share with fellow Gentoo-ers, but you won't find any official word from the maintainers on those driver versions. |
