Has been in Portage since October. There's one open bug, bug 259591, but it's more of an enhancement. On the other hand, 0.6c9 should work without DeprecationWarnings on 2.6, whereas 0.6c8 doesn't.

The ebuild contains a KEYWORD= line that has a linebreak (but no \) in it. This at least breaks ekeyword - don't know if it's allowed the way it is.

Unclosed quotes can be continued between through line-breaks, so yes it's valid.
