pylibmc is a python extension for the increasingly popular libmemcached library. libmemcached (through pylibmc) offers - increased speed aside - a large set of functionality not available in python-memcached or cmemcache trough its behaviors.

This ebuild is now in the sunrise-overlay: http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/sunrise/browser/sunrise/dev-python/pylibmc

I've kept this updated in sunrise and now feels it is time to move to gentoo-x86. Pylibmc has quickly grown to one of the premier memcached-libraries, recommended by django.

The latest ebuild is here: http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/sunrise/browser/sunrise/dev-python/pylibmc/pylibmc-1.2.1.ebuild

Anyone at proxy that wants to co-maintain this with me?
