Description Gert Wollny 2009-04-20 21:23:00 UTC
compiling by using gcc-4.3.2-r3 with "-O -march=amdfam10" fails sometimes with an internal compiler error.
Using -march=k8 instead or no optimization eliminates the problem.
Actually, the compiler also could not compiling itself by using above flags.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. compile attached preprocessed source
  gcc -O -march=amdfam10 -c .libs/rootrem.i -o .libs/rootrem.o

Actual Results:
rootrem.c: In function '__gmpn_rootrem':
rootrem.c:175: internal compiler error: Segmentation fault
Please submit a full bug report,
with preprocessed source if appropriate.
See <http://bugs.gentoo.org/> for instructions.

Expected Results:
clean compile

gcc-4.3.3 doesn't have that problem, but has some very wired error when using boost::mpl::list and _FORTIFY_SOURCE that keeps me from using it. I will give an additional bug report about this later.
