Ubuntu has come out with a bunch of profiles for screen.

The current draft (see attached) moves /usr/bin/screen and replaces it with a wrapper. This may or may not be acceptable in Gentoo.

On a test chroot, this triggered bug 264643.

Andrey,
The shell-tools team is not interested in maintaining any more packages ourselves. You can place us as a backup team/herd if you wish when you add this package - but it is unlikely for us to fix much if you go awol. ;)
