$ scrot
giblib error: Saving to file 2009-04-02-232634_1280x800_scrot.png failed



Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open a terminal
2. run the command `scrot`
3. got error message, and can't save the screenshot

Please post your "emerge --info".

As your posted error message indicates, this seems to be a problem with the media-libs/giblib package. Can you please recompile this package and report if this fixes your problem?

Reopen this bug if re-emerging media-libs/giblib doesn't fix your problem.

re-emerge imlib and imlib2 (USE jpeg gif png tiff)

USE=png emerge imlib2

and scrot is working...
