The Gentoo patch set doesn't need to bundle the patch set 2.6.??.y - b/c that file is already downloaded for peopale who use the vanilla kernell too.

we do not provide support for vanilla-sources. It is provided as-is. Our genpatches are for gentoo-sources. We will continue to provide all the patches we deem necessary for our users in accordance with out policies.
