Description Roeland Douma 2009-03-26 16:25:48 UTC
I have been using this package for a week now, on my AMD64 machine, instead of matlab and I absolutely love it! I am actually using it instead of matlab. I have had no problems when using it and we have no open bugs for qtoctave. Only AMD64 and ALPHA have >=octave-3.0.0 stable so for the other arches this should be done first (bug 245707)

It is OK with you to stabilize qtoctave?

Compiles fine and works great for me on ~x86, too. Please stabilize.
Comment 2 Michael Duelli 2009-08-12 11:57:58 UTC
Recently version 0.8.2 has been released. The ebuild should be updated and made EAPI 2 compatible

Just attached an updated ebuild and patch, which compile fine for me
Comment 6 Markus Dittrich (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-08-25 01:49:47 UTC
I agree that qtoctave can probably go stable. Let me have
a closer look and if all looks well I'll cc the arches.

I've bumped qtoctave to 0.8.2 as well.

Thanks,
Markus
Comment 7 dE 2009-11-29 15:06:50 UTC
qtoctave states that it requires octave 3.2.0 or above, but it does not have a dependency on it.

I have octave 3.0.3 installed and qtoctave complains.

Thanks much for the note and qtoctave-0.8.2 indeed needs >=octave-3.2
I've updated the ebuild. So it looks like 0.8.1 will be the candidate for
stabilization after all.

Best,
Markus
Comment 9 Justin Lecher (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-06-24 13:46:13 UTC
I will ask for stable in two weeks.
Comment 10 Justin Lecher (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-07-09 11:36:23 UTC
Please stable
Comment 11 Andreas Schürch gentoo-dev 2010-07-12 13:24:44 UTC
I tested sci-mathematics/qtoctave-0.8.2 on x86, it seems good to get stabilized.
Comment 12 Christian Faulhammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-07-12 18:03:20 UTC
stable x86, thanks Andreas
Comment 13 Markos Chandras (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-07-14 10:27:08 UTC
amd64 done
Comment 14 Justin Lecher (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-08-04 06:26:32 UTC
Is fixed
